About me
My Story
Emmelyn studied biblical counselling and theology at Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia, USA under professors such as Ed Welch and David Powlison of the Christian Counseling and Education Foundation (CCEF). She also served at CCEF as a counseling intern prior to returning home to Sydney.
Emmelyn has served as a Recitation Instructor for a number of courses at CCEF’s School of Biblical Counseling, has been published in the Journal of Biblical Counseling and is an accredited member of the Biblical Counselling Australia network. She also serves on the accreditation committee of Biblical Counselling Australia and as a supervisor to other biblical counsellors.
Emmelyn is married to Jonathan and has two young children.
My Philosophy
As a biblical counsellor, Emmelyn is a Christian who believes that God has revealed himself to the world through his son Jesus Christ, and speaks to us through the Bible. She subscribes to the doctrinal basis of Biblical Counseling Australia (here).
Emmelyn considers it a privilege to walk alongside people as they are facing difficult situations. She is passionate about seeing the Bible come to life as the source of hope, healing and change in their lives.
